I am a frustrated pianist who loves Ragtime finding that my fingers rarely do justice to the works of the great composers such as Scott Joplin.
This little ditty, written using 'Micrologic Fun' is my attempt to rise to the challenge set in MF86 to write a tune and send it in. At least using 'Micrologic fun' I can hear what it should sound like rather than my fat lethargic fingers clipping and missing notes on a 'real' piano.
The left hand follows a simple chord sequence common to many rags and the right hand just flowers about on the chords.
Also included is a QuickTime movie of the song created by exporting from Micrologic Fun as a midi then using "Midigraphy" to open it then export as QuickTime. (I'm sure there must be an easier way).
This is my first attempt at 'composing' and also my first contribution to any magazine so please forgive its naivity. I shall endeavour to improve.
